WE'RE STILL HERE!

OOPS! It cannot possibly be almost 2 months since we did a post! That must be a sign of how fast time is going for us here in S.Africa. Five months and we'll be home, so we will be endeavoring to make this the "best 5 months" of our mission! For those of you who have stuck with us, THANK YOU! and we will try to do better.

We actually have been pretty busy and taken very few pictures. Below see a shot of Elder Warr working attentively, not taking time to change from his dress down mode before hitting the reports.

Yes, that is a fan you see on Elder Warr's desk. We had over a week of high nineties temps and were ready to buy an air conditioner, but there were none to be found and none expected in. I guess it was okay, since after we did the search, the weather turned a bit more manageable, and we really haven't needed anything more than our trusty fans! We have to confess, however, that we saw a couple of movies more to enjoy the cool air in the theatre than to enjoy the movie. Our car is air conditioned, so we took a few extra rides in the midst of the heat, as well.

We have kept quite busy with orienting teachers, setting up classes, and visiting classes. We lost some teachers with the first of the school year, often due to their needing to move or work during the time they had taught last year. It's quite different with teachers whose calling is to teach seminary or institute, compared to the professional teachers at home.

This is one of the seminary classes we visited recently. The teacher's name is  "Beauty", and she really enjoys these students and does a great job of teaching them!

Mosa Mokoena is one of our new Institute teachers. I don't know the little girl's name, but she sure did want to be in the picture!

We recently were able to visit Pilanesburg Game Reserve for a second time, and stayed in a lodge over night in order to go on an early morning game drive. We saw quite a few animals then, but not as many as we were able to see on our own drive the night before.

This rhino really wanted to make friends...he kept getting closer and closer!

Well, that's pretty much it for now.  We are fine and busy and loving the work!
